Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.)
The Master of Theological Studies (MTS) program, available online or partially on campus, prepares you to participate in theological research, writing, and teaching. It provides a graduate-level understanding of several theological disciplines and an opportunity to specialize in a concentrated area. The program focuses on three areas: History, Scripture, Tradition of Christianity; Modern Religious Thought and Experience; and Global Religions. The MTS emphasizes historical and constructive issues of religious and theological reflection from a variety of perspectives. Earning a master’s degree in theology deepens your faith and prepares you to fulfill your calling to serve God and others. Equipped with a deeper knowledge of the Bible and God, a master’s degree provides graduates with strategic ministry vision and opens a variety of career options, such as chaplaincy.
